The web pages and graphics are uploaded via a broadband connection to the "Web Server" which is located "somewhere" out West! The actual Web Server machine configuration is a 2Ghz AMD64 processor with 2GB of RAM. The server is running the Fedora Core Linux operating system and the Apache web server utilizing MySql databases. It is connected to the Internet with redundant high-speed circuits for maximum availability. Other Stuff: The site officially went online the week of July 14th, 1998. It has now grown to thousands of pages of information (if you count all the postings in the forum). We are trying to keep the site simple and easy to navigate, avoiding the use of heavy graphics and "eye candy" that slow down the loading of a web page. The TnDeer site is now serving thousands of deer hunters each and every month and has been featured in the "Outdoors" sections in 2 of the state's largest newspapers along with feature articles in 3 other regional papers and out of state papers as well.
