I don't own these pics. I found them on a friend of a friends page.

Deer was reported to have had yellow tounge and green spit.

I have only killed one deer with a single Fibroma patch under its armpit, and that was this season. I'm just wondering if this is something becoming more wide spread this season?

Clearly this deer was cancerous from the Fibroma.

It's said by biologist that the meat is safe to eat... But I'll be damn if I am going to eat it if it's in this condition. One patch of fibroma OK. But yellow tongue and green spit? Hunters for the hungry will be getting a donation or perhaps after sending these photos to the meat processor and he says NO... The coyotes will have a feast..

If I saw this buck coming through it would defiantly be a cull buck

I don't waste meat, I even save deer ribs, but I'd feed that one to the coyotes.

There's no piece of data or study that would convince me to eat that meat or give it to any other human...

Question. I've never seen one till this yeah, I have done some reading on it and it seems it's not uncommon yet it's not a common occurance. I've been hunting TN 40 years and never seen one till now. Then saw these photos and the one spot on the deer I shot. Is this something getting more wide spread in TN ?

They are fine, they are NOT cancer. Kinda gross to look at, but they do not extend into the meat, they are just in the skin and gone once the skin is removed. They are usually viral in origin. The green tongue and mouth is just from being shot with stomach contents regurgitating, nothing more.

We had a wild as heck uncut bull calf that had them all over him... he was so wild we couldn't catch him the fall before to cut him :)... When we finally caught him while working the rest of the herd the following spring, we sent him to the salebarn. He ran every single person out of the sale ring during the sale, but he actually brought 3x more than the average price per pound... because he got bought up to send to the rodeo :)

a buddy of mine as a buck with that mess on him from last year, and it actually not as bad this year. His antlers didn't grow at all however.

Right, not too uncommon and totally safe.

Well if I ever shoot one I will post it and whom ever would like it can have it. I will not be eating it.
