Is this new? Striped bass license

I have always purchased a sportsman's license and just in the last few weeks recieved my lifetime license. A person on another forum brought to my attention that there was a Resident Striped Bass license.

Has this always been there? If so, how long? I am assuming that people with a Sportsmans license or Lifetime license will not need this extra permit.

It is a mistake on that screen. It is a license that was discussed, but did not make the final cut in the package, and was not passed by the TFWC.

Thank you for calling it to my attention. I've let them know it is on the screen.
