Story: "Frank sat in his summit stand overlooking the gray beanfield just waiting for the deer to emerge from the woods. This was his first time to sit at this certain location, so he really didn't know what to expect. As darkness begin to close around him, he finally gave it up and climbed down the tall tree. Reaching the ground, he begin the process of packing up. He reached to take the climber from the tree and something made him look to his left into the field. There stood the buck! Frank's gun was on the ground on the other side of the tree. Trying not to make any noise, he collected his muzzleloader and prepared to fire. The darkness filled the scope and he couldn't find the killzone shot in the lens. Dropping down to the iron sites, he lowered the boom and the buck kicked hard. As the smoke enveloped the hunter, he couldn't see a thing, but heard his buck run a short distance and crash. The buck had followed his drag rag scented up with scent right to him. We are wondering if the buck heard the climber coming down the tree and thought he had another buck in his territory as he came in real close to investigate."
