Story: "I was hunting a large field that was planted in winter wheat. At about 4:30 P.M., a doe entered the field about 300 yards away. A young four-pointer was not far behind her. I had some scent placed on a near by tree limb. The wind was blowing about 10 mph. When the doe caught wind of the scent about 250 yards out, she fed in the wheat field toward me. She kept looking toward my direction, so I knew she could smell the scent I had placed nearby. The four-pointer stayed back about 40 yards away from the doe. The doe left the field and the four-pointer stayed. As I waited for the day to come to a close, I kept seeing the four-pointer look behind him. I could not see what he was looking at but I knew it was more deer. I blew my grunt call twice, and then got my muzzleloader ready. The 11-pointer came toward the smaller buck and wanted to fight. The smaller buck stood their for a minute and the he tucked his tail and ran away. I waited for the buck to turn broadside and made a good shot on him at 85 yards with my muzzleloader. The deer traveled 10 yards after the shot."
