Story: "It had been windy all day until about 4:30 p.m. when it finally turned calm. I began to rattle and grunt as soon as the wind had laid and within a few minutes, heard a buck making a rub in a thicket that bordered the corn field I was hunting. A couple of minutes later, a large doe stepped into the field and began making her way across, stopping once to look back. From the thicket, I heard a deer grunt and limbs breaking, but thought it was a buck chasing another doe, it turned out to be my deer tearing up a sapling and following the doe I had just seen. At the edge of the field, all I saw was his rack and began getting my gun into shooting position. As he made his way towards the doe I found him in the scope and shot him through his shoulder only 35 yards away. He went about 150 yards after the shot."
