Story: "It was the last morning of muzzleloader season just at the break of dawn. I was hunting on the edge of a half cut bean field. As I sat there a doe ran by fleeing from a hunter at the other end of the field. It was about 7:00 a.m. when I heard a noise to my left. I turned to see a good buck standing at the edge of the creek. He started across the creek coming directly toward me. He climbed the bank at a mere five feet from the base of the tree I was in. I let him walk into the field to about 20 yards before I took the shot. The .50 cal. CVA muzzleloader put him directly on the ground. I quickly descended the tree to see what I had shot. Upon reaching the fallen deer I realized just how big he really was, a big 9 point with a forked brow tine on the right side."
