Story: I had only been in my stand around 40 minutes when I saw this guy come slinking down a trail about 130 yards away. He crossed a small road we've bulldozed in the woods and presented a perfect shot, except he kept turning and licking his shoulder. Finally, he gave me a fairly decent shot, although he was quartering towards me. At about 80 yards, I squeezed the trigger. I saw him fall, but all of a sudden he was racing up the hill. I thought I missed him so I bolted another shell and when he got to the top of the hill he turned and gave me a nice broadside shot. However, when I pulled the trigger, nothing happened. In my excitement I had failed to fully eject my first cartridge. By this time he turned and started coming back down the hill, where he collapsed about 40 yards from me. Turns out he was hit pretty good on the first shot.
