Story: "My name is Will Enochs, I am 15 years old, and I killed this deer on November 23 in Putnam county using a 243. That is me holding the deer and that is my dad, Al Enochs, beside me. That morning we meet close to my treestand and after about two minutes we heard a gun shot really close to us. We had some friends hunting with us that day and right after the shot he called and said, he had just missed the biggest deer he had ever seen. We were done hunting so we thought we would just go make sure he missed it by looking for blood or any other sign. We climbed up over the bluff and we started walking in this little holler and we jumped this deer about 20 yards away from us. Where he was bedded down we would have walked right on top of him if he wouldn't have jumped up. I shot him about 30 yards away as he was running and then i had to shoot him two more times for him to die. When we got to the deer we were looking at it and checking out his hide. I was looking at his antlers and I noticed some blood on his ear and when I got a closer look at it, it was a bullet hole. When our friends got to us he said that was the deer he shot at and then we showed him the bullet hole in the ear and it made him sick cuz that was where he hit the deer."
