Story: "It was December 26, the day after Christmas, I was at a family gathering with my wife's family, fun huh? All I could think about was being in my favorite tree. I finally talked my wife into leaving and got in my stand around 2:30 pm. Around 3:30 I started getting tired of sitting so I stood up. After standing only a few minutes I noticed a deer in the field to the rear of my stand with a tall rack only feet from entering the woods. I looked through my binoculars to get a better look and he spotted me. He was roughly 100 yards away. I immediatly dropped the binoculars and reached for my .270, zeroed on him and flipped the safety. All this while he stared right at me. I squeezed off a round and he fell in his tracks. I let him expire and walked up on the tallest rack I have ever harvested."
