Story: "I was hunting a big field with a friend during the first week of gun season. My friend had never shot a nice buck before and we had been seeing some out here, so I decided to give him the first shot (besides, I got a nice 12 point opening day of bow season). We got settled before daylight, and around 7:00, we stood up so we could see over a small hill. All of a sudden, I see an 8 point in the field, I tell my friend, he drops to a knee, grabs his muzzleloader and shot him square in the shoulder. We watched it run into the woods, but I knew it was hit. I was busy giving my friend a "high five" and we were jumping for joy over his deer and all of a sudden, I look and see an 11 point watching all of this from the woods. I didn't even have my gun in my hands. I ran 10 feet, grabbed my muzzleloader and shot free handed while standing up. The deer also ran toward the woods and I figured I missed. I was excited and dejected all at the same time. We went to look for my friends deer! Low and behold, there lay two nice bucks, side by side, DRT (Dead Right There). We both will never forget that hunt. I guess it pays to be unselfish every now and then."
