Story: Greg harvested this fine looking LBL buck at 9 in the morning.
I shot the deer at about 30 yards, I was hunting from the ground because the area I was in did not have much tree cover. The fog was so heavy that you could not see much farther then 30 or 40 yards. The deer had been working a rub line and some small scraps. I made a scrape and worked it up and the deer tried to come in down wind of me but I had the wind. He came out of a thicket looking for Doe's and we were eye to eye, I pulled up and set the scope on shoulder and pulled off a shot. When I hit the deer it turned and ran about 30 more yards before expiring. I called for my brother Steve that was hunting just about 75 yards up from me to come help me find it. He said that a big deer came in on him before daylight and made a scrap 10 yards from him but he could not get a shot off. We found the blood trail and followed it across a dry creek bed. I looked though my binoculars to see if he was down and I saw his horns peaking out over some small brush.
