Story: "The deer were really moving on this day, especially the bucks. I saw lots of movement in the morning, and passed on several small bucks and even a couple of 6 or 8 pointers. I returned in the afternoon, and wasn’t in the stand very long when I caught movement to my left. It was a large racked buck and he was moving at a pretty good pace. I didn’t have time to count antlers, only to get the gun in position to shoot. I did a “meh”, and then grunted, and the buck wouldn’t stop. I hollered and the buck paused just long enough for me to take the shot through thick brush. The deer ran a short distance and went down directly in front of me. It was great end to a good day of hunting. The deer sported a large body, a large rack, but had only 6 points. It was still my largest buck to date and one to be proud of."
