Story: It was opening day of firearm season here in Tennessee. After a whole week of hunting during muzzleloader and not seeing the first deer, I was kinda skeptible about hunting with rifle. I set my stand up where I had noticed a few deer moving just a few days after muzzleloader closed. I was there at the crack of dawn. It wasn't long before a Doe came down thru the woods, with a small buck on her trail. I passed him up. The next few minutes were a flurry of action lots of running deer, and I saw a buck coming. I shot and missed walked around for a good hour looking for any signs of a hit. I went back to my stand, and just sit there. At 8:30 a.m. I heard something behind me, and turned to see a deer standing there. I saw that it was a buck, with what I could see of 3 antlers on one side. I decided to take him. At 25 yards I shot, and the Rifle rolled him a flip. He is now tenderloin and ground deer in the freezer.
