Story: My son, Matthew and I have been deer hunting together since he was 10. He is now 16, and was I surprised on November 21st to see what he had learned over the years on our hunting trips.
His 8 point trophy buck walked up behind him while he was in his tree stand about 8:00 a.m. The buck was working a rub within 30 feet of him. He was afraid he would startle the deer if he turned around to shoot, so he froze in his stand. The buck started walking away from him, he let the buck go because it was walking towards me in a nearby stand. I guess he thought Dad will kill it. Guess what Dad missed it But luckily it turned and ran back towards Matthew. It was in a fast run when I whistled, then Matthew whistled and the buck stopped right in front of him. He stopped it in it's tracks with his .35. This was Matthew's first buck. As for me, the first buck I was glad I missed What a great day we had
