Story: I sleepily climbed into my stand at daylight anticipating an eventful day based on previous deer sightings. At 7 am, I watched 6 does cross a field and enter the woods behind me. At 9:30 am a lone deer stepped out of thicket about 300 yds to my front. Grabbing the binoculars, I identified the deer as simply a buck and quickly setup for a shot with my .270. The buck began to trot across the field and at 150 yds stopped with nose high to smell danger or perhaps romance within the woods ahead. I used his hesitation to place the shot, dropping him where he stood. After 30 minutes of waiting and thinking that I had harvested a good seven or possibly eight point buck, I came down out of the stand. As I walked closer to the buck, I shockingly realized he was bigger than I thought! I praise our Lord Jesus Christ for His grace to allow us to enjoy the outdoors, hunt, and reap the fruits of the harvest. I am truly thankful and blessed to have the opportunity to hunt, but eternally grateful for my salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord. "Soli Deo Gloria"
