Story: This buck was in the seeking phase of the rut. He came out right at dark by himself working a scrap line. I had literally took one step down out of my stand for the evening. I stepped back up into the stand, rested my muzzleloader on shooting rail and shot when the buck cleared some brush. We had trail camera pictures from 2009 but had never seen the deer. We could see in the pictures he had a crab claw and started calling him the "crabby buck" .He has 14 scoreable points but over 20 total points. This deer had a huge body, I estimate his on the hoof weight well over 200 lbs. I aged the jawed bone between 3.5 and 4.5. This is first Tennessee buck I have shot in over 10 years. This is an example of how good management can lead to a great deer. I green scored the deer at 145.
