Story: "It was opening day of rifle season and I was hunting a thicket/funnel with my father. I heard deer moving through the basin but could not pick up any movement. I heard several stomps for about 15 minutes but could never pinpoint where the actual deer was at. Finally, the stomping changed to walking as the two deer started moving away from me. They walked out of hearing distance and I thought the morning hunt was over. Ten minutes later, I heard them coming back up the drain, and I saw a body slowly moving out of the thicket. The deer stood behind a blow down for a couple of minutes, then I felt the wind change. He threw his head up and I saw his rack and knew that he was a shooter. He was about to bolt so I knew I had to find a hole to shoot through. The hole I found and the shot connected. He ran straight to me and fell just 25 yards away."
