I'd say that's a solid 17-20 inch jump! I've noticed that the majority of the deer I have observed here in middle Tennessee seem to make the largest jump from 3 1/2 to 4 1/2. Do you have any idea of the age of this buck?

Great looking buck!

And no, deer don't add that many inches between 3.5 and 4.5 usually.... but the 'wow' factor is almost universal between 3.5 and 4.5. What I mean by that is a typical 120" 3.5 y/o 8 with 3.75" bases and decent tine length seems tiny in comparison to the same buck a year later that would typically only score 130-135" buck have 50% more apparant mass. Only 15" of extra antler, but the rack appears to be twice as large.
