Everyone knows what an awesome fishery Chickamauga Lake has become since TWRA has been stocking Florida bass. The weather is warming up now but Capt. Ben Hayes with Scenic City Fishing Charters has been braving some cold, cold weather lately to put clients on some great fish!
Most recently (Friday & Saturday) Barry Lux and John Stafford came down from Indiana for two days fishing with Capt. Hayes. They're hardcore bass anglers but said all their water is frozen solid and they had a bad case of cabin fever. Capt. Hayes helped them cure it with some awesome fish.
Yesterday morning the water temperature on Chickamauga was 39 degrees.... but obviously cold water doesn't stop the bass from biting... if you know where and how to fish for them.
All the hardcore bass folks know that the cold weather months are THE time to boat a Chickamauga beast. Join the party and come give it a try.
