Bandage?

Cleaned up cams a couple weeks ago getting ready for the season... Found these pics from a couple cams right around the first of the year. Quite curious. Surely someone didn't somehow bandage this buck up?! Another theory is he stepped in a piece of pvc. I still think it looks like a bandage, but it boggles my mind.

Looks similar to what a scrap piece of PVC may been thrown away and he walked through it and it hung on. I'm curious if you shoot him to see what it is. I had a deer last year I thought had a bandanna around his neck and I never saw him in person.
 
This is the buck I had on camera last year that looks like a bandanna is around his neck. I had pictures of him as a spike the year before and thought it was there then.
