Everybody is talking about how well the TSS is and their bird didn't flop at all after they shot it. I shot this one Saturday and it flopped for 5 minutes. It was shot with #9 TSS at around 20 yards. I can't even start to count the pellet holes in its head and neck. I don't think TSS is the reason they don't flop. But I love the devastation from it. I've killed 2 with TSS and both of my boys have gotten 1.

Ever seen a chicken get its head whacked off? They flop everywhere. It's instant death. I've killed some turkeys, and only one or two didn't flop and that was poor shots in the body. Don't know what the deal is with folks that shoot them and they don't flop.

Anyone that claims the majority or better yet, all of their turkeys don't flop is full of chit. I've killed them with lead, HTL and TSS, and had some fall dead and others flop. Don't believe all you read online or hear. A lot of hunters blow smoke with the best of them.

Exactly. I've been shooting TSS since 2013. I've shot turkeys with 8s, 8.5s, 9s, and 9.5s, including a couple inside 10 yards. I don't remember one that literally "never even flopped." They sometimes collapse motionless at the shot, but within a minute or two they flop some.

This is what I've seen as well. They like to flop after you pick them up.

Turkeys flop reflexively when you incapacitate them neurologically. Just like fresh frog legs jump in the skillet.

I've had several that dropped on the spot without flopping, didn't touch them, and they never flopped. But the ones that dropped on the spot without flopping and I tried to pick them started flopping like crazy from the stimulation. TSS vs #5 lead don't seem to make a difference in my experience.

Nothing to feel bad about, they are already dead and not suffering. Now if they are flopping and then you see the head come up... get to that bird FAST and dispatch him.

yeah Ive never stated that TSS causes them to NOT FLOP, my only observation after shooting it for over 5 years is the tend to flop LESS or at least less violently. To say they wont flop when switching to TSS is for sure FALSE.

I shot one a few years ago that just fell. He laid there for almost a minute, untill I picked him up, then started the crazy flop.
