I am looking for a turkey taxidermist. I have one full strut mounted turkey that I had Shane Smith do for me probably 15 years ago. And to this date many turkeys later, it is still my best. I have vowed never to mount another one. Fast forward to this year. My son killed his first turkey. When it came time to clean the bird, he wouldn't have it. He wanted it mounted like dads. I know in the world of taxidermy, you get exactly what you pay for. Cheap and quality are not in the same sentence. But I'm looking for 1995 prices in 2020. Most taxidermists are $1200-1500 for a turkey not including base or wall fixtures.

Who's your cheap go to turkey taxidermist?

12 to 15 hundred. Woah! I would see if he would settle for a fan and back fleece mount. He may not though. He'll probably want what his old man has. :super:

Your going to be hard pressed to find one of the quality Shane did for you for under $1200.

Another vote for John Beard @ birdsonly. Hes the best I know of. Hes done 5 for me and entered one of them in the Nationals and won with it. He even let me keep the blue ribbon!

Billingsby Road Taxidermy. Ryan Scearce. He's 2x Nwtf champion and finished 2nd in world show last year. You can find him on Facebook

I had my taxidermist fix my Rio like this because of the price for a full mount and I couldn't be happier.
