Rare opportunity for me.
One was on a roostertail and the other was on a Bobby garland monkey milk jig.
Lots of fun on 6# test
One of them jumped 5 times before I wore him down

Nice! Gonna be staying on the little pidgin for a weekend to do some creek small mouth fishing. Seeing these is getting me pumped!!
 
There is a reason why I drive close to 1200 miles to catch them. Well, when they open the border again, I will be going back. Ontario has the best smallmouth fishing on the planet and what makes it the best is the fact that we almost never see another boat or a person while we are there.

I know you guys have some incredible fishing while ya'll are up there. Your dad still able to make the trip?
 
There's an old saying that a 3 lb. SM could pull a 6 lb. LM all over the lake. Don't know if it's true, but after 20 some odd years of chasing SM, I would say pretty close to true.
