I probably haven't stood in moving water to fish since last September. Works been really busy for the past year and I just need a little get-away when I can squeeze one in. There's a real nice smallmouth stream that flows through my in-laws and with the warmer temps, I just felt like getting my feet wet.

I'd started to afternoon with a larger Roamer and didn't even get a look. Switched to a Zuddler and caught my first fish within the first couple casts. Never changed flies. I never count the number of fish I catch, but it was enough that I actually lost count. Didn't bother with more than 1 pic because I was enjoying the moment. I've got an afternoon appointment near another smallmouth stream, so..........

I grew up n the Ozarks in Missouri and smallmouth are definitely something I miss where I live at now. Wading a good rock bottom creek and catching fish it a lot of fun. You never know what all you will see in a good day of wading.
