We just returned from a walleye fishing charter in Lake Erie. On Wednesday my wife was lucky. It was her turn to grab the rod and after a 5 minute battle she landed this hog. It was 29.5 inches long and weight estimated 10 pounds. The guide said to his knowledge it was the biggest walleye to come out of the lake this year (so far). The fish qualifies her for a Master Angler award from the state of Ohio. She is still pumped up about it and will hold bragging rights for our group for a long time. This year was better than normal with a lot of 21-23 inch long walleyes also being caught.
