For the backstory you can go here.

Woodyard presented me with the finished product on the White River this weekend.
I am still speechless and so very grateful.
While the fishing was slower than normal I did manage to catch a trout with it on the very first trip. :D
This fish means more to me than any other fish I can ever remember.

We went up in a creek to try and catch me a yellow perch.
Ended up catching 3 smallies. Pretty awesome.

Another quality trout. We didn't catch as many as usual but the quality was great !
Thick, healthy fish.

The master guide even took a break from babysitting me and fished a little too.

We saw this guy floating in the river. He seemed to be enjoying the ride.
Then, we saw him again about 10 miles down river, literally, and decided he needed a break.
We scooped him up and set him on the bank in a sunny spot.

And of course a trip wouldn't be complete without the goodies at the end of the day.
Menu was kinda plain and simple.
High in carbs, smiles and full bellies.
Pork chops
Pork steaks
Ribeye steaks
Baked taters
Garlic bread
Freezer slaw (best part of every meal)

I never could manage one on the the boo-boo rod. Water was just not for fly fishing this trip. However, I already broke it in on some bass.

Awesome trip with the top chef there. I don't know how we pull it off every time. Lol

Also no hospital trips or anything big equipment-wise broken, so a very nice trip.
