Venice, LA Tuna

We're on a 44-ft aluminum catamaran so hopefully 5 ft seas won't be a big deal (but I'm still hoping for 2-foot). Heck I've fished in 4-5 ft seas in a 24 foot fiberglass v-hull.

What day are you going? Hopefully Thursday.

Well the Tuna trip was lots of fun, made a few new friends, went farther offshore on a fishing boat than I ever had before. Over 80 miles in about 4,000 ft of water. Unfortunately we got skunked. Our neighbors where we spent 2 nights were lucky enough to catch the only 3 tuna caught by Paradise outfitters (4 boats) that day. The weather was fantastic. We saw plenty of tuna jumping and boiling the water, but just couldn't get them to bite. We talked with the "neighbors" about their fishing tactics(bait location etc...) and it was exactly the same as ours. I guess that is why they call it fishing.
