I was able to get on this group yesterday afternoon but didn't want to be too aggressive and take a chance at spooking them. So I just sat back and watched where they roosted at and planned my approach for this morning.

I got set up good and early and not long after they started gobbling. There were 2 gobblers and probably 6 hens. @cbhunter made a joke last night that they'll pitch out 75 yards and go away from me and that's exactly what 3 hens did. I thought deggomit here we go. Finally a hen and one of the gobblers pitched out about 40 yards and all he had to do was walk about 10 yards right in front of my gun barrel and it was over with.

10.25" beard, 1 1/8" spurs.

Feels great to get the monkey off my back from the miss opening day.
