It's been great the last three days for us. This make 3 birds in 3 days for my son and I. I had to be patient for this one which is one of my turkey hunting weaknesses as he was gobbling and begging me to come chase on the next ridge over. I knew I was where they wanted to be in the back of a hayfield woth clover and stayed put. I had 4 hens in front of me and got to see one hen chase some crows and a hawk off. She then fanned out and started squaring off with the other hens. I finally thought I heard a "vroom" behind me and then a gobble about 40 yards. He came spitting and drumming to my right and marched to his death at 35 yds around 9.
Great morning. My son didn't wanna get up and go since he's out of tags but told me to give him a play by play by text which I did. #blessed
