Fun morning hunt with Justin. First thing this morning I had decided if it was legal, I was shooting. Had a Jake at 30 yards and pulled the trigger. Click.... (Misfire) Justin said shuck another shell in so I did and rushed a shot and missed. Fast forward about an hour and a half. We were trying to locate more birds and heard several hard gobbles. We devised a game plan as to how to get to the birds and after about a 1/2 mile walk we spotted them. Got set up and made it happen. My bird was 18lb with 9 3/4" beard and 1" spurs and Justins bird was 24lb with 9 3/4" beard and 1" spurs. Good times. My one weekend a year to turkey hunt was a success. Now back to catching fish.
