Lake Erie walleye

Been fishing last 3 days on this amazing lake for walleye. First day we got 18, yesterday we got 8 but the wind was howling and we got our tails handed to us. Easy 3-4's with no span. Today was much better so we ran up to the Canadian line as we heard it was productive from a local guide. Caught our 4 man limit of 24 by 1pm. Most averaged between 16"-20" but had a couple over 20". Lost the biggest one 5 ft from the boat and it was an easy 26+.
One more day to fish tomorrow and hopefully we will do well early as the wind will be picking up after 12.
Got to eat some last night and will say it beats out crappie as my favorite tasting fresh water fish.

No comparison between Walleye and Crappie. Well done sir!

Awesome! Bucket list trip! By far my favorite freshwater fish to eat.

We make an annual run to Oak Harbor Ohio to fill the freezer. Delicious eating. Last year wife caught one 27 inches long.

Planning a trip in July for this year. The best month by far for walleye on Lake Erie.

I love to eat walleye. Haven't been in a couple years, but on Rainy Lake, we don't even try to catch walleye, we are fishing for smallmouth, and it has gotten to where we catch more walleye than we want to.
