I looked around Jackson and wasn't impressed with the options of places. I didn't want to ship it either and considered iron horse as i would drive by there. I ended up going with a new upcoming place in Bham AL back around my parents place. I will give a HUGE shoutout to Austin at Inverness Outdoor's there in Birmingham, AL. I brought my 26" franchi black synthetic and told him I wanted 2 things with this gun:

1) Make it Dull/not shiny
2) Make it bada$$

I asked if he could do the distressed cerakote, and he said he knows how but has never tried it yet so let's give it a go! He stated he is a huge turkey hunter so assured me it was in good hands. I was cautiously optimistic…

I knew it would be good when he sent pics to me saying the pictures don't do it justice…

I showed it to my grandfather pretty much and he called and said man it just brings back a flood of memories because that's all we used to hunt in back when! It by far exceeded my expectations!

If y'all are wanting a gun dipped/cerakoted in Bama or want someone who takes pride in customer service and their work, you will be more than pleased choosing Austin at Inverness Outdoors. He personally texted me the pics and all as well said he could sand it down to redo if I wasn't pleased. Less than a month turnaround time as well!

Bud, I like that old pattern, but what the hell is up with those pants. 😀
Hopefully with them being that collar they are scrubs. But to each their own either way lol.

Congrats on the gun brother looks sharp. What made you decide on cerlote has opposed to dipping the whole thing just curious? Personally that is the coolest looking cerakote I have seen. Usually not a fan of it but I do like that distressed look for sure. If I decided to not get the whole gun hydro dipped that would be what I would go with also.

Very good eye with the scrubs! Come to the hospital here in Jackson and you may find me lol

Man I was the same as I wasn't on the cerakote train either…until I saw the ones Rob Robert's does with the distressed looks. I called Austin there and asked if he could do it…he knew exactly what I was talking about even going through pictures of ideas on Rob Robert's Instagram when I brought the gun by. I just said make it flow with the dip and surprise me honestly…by far exceeded my expectations.

Yeah it's a beauty man, and if I am ever I'm the hospital in Jackson I will ask for Gobble4me757. They will probably CT Scan my brain even if I am there for stitches in my leg lol.

What choke and load are you going to be running out of it? I see there is an extra full choke on the picture. Not sure if that is factory or not. I have seen those Franchis' throw some nasty patterns with a .665 constriction and someone #7.5/9 blends.

Ha! Hey I'll come admit ya in that case! Up Here for residency and live at the hospital pretty much 😂 I'm Tiler Williams though if you happen to swing by! If you are around this way holler at me and would be down to grab a beer!

Shooting a .585 Trulock non ported with apex 9s…guy on old gobbler had some awesome patterns with it as I was just looking for a more open even pattern without a super hot core. Killed two birds with that gun last season 1 at 20 through brush and the other all I'll say is I misjudged a field bird 😂

My grandson Kaleb Adams starts his pharmacy residency first of July in Jackson. He's avid hunter & I'll tell him to look you up if you don't mind.

Yeah man tell him to holler at me! I'm probably officially Dr. Andrew Williams around the hospital. If he needs help with anything just lemme know. We work hand in hand with pharmacy on a daily basis.

Yeah I thought about cutting it but ended up against it personally…thought I wanted the 24" franchi originally. May get another gun in the future and cut it down etc who knows. Appreciate it guys though Austin and crew did all the work!
