And that is why we don't have a cat. 
Great cat. Not one sign of mice or mice damage since he started sleeping on the bow.And that is why we don't have a cat.

My wife said "let's get a cat for the barn to control mice" to which I said "think about that". My truck is in their and her boat. When I said the boat she was like "oh yeah probably not a good idea". I can't imagine scratches on the side from trying to get in, torn interior from the claws, or marks on the teak platform from claw sharpening. The old Jon boat is one thing but not her baby. Too much hard earned money spent on that thing. We had cats growing up and remember paw prints on them. They are great mousers for sure.

Great looking cat. My favorite cat growing up looked identical. My cousin also has one that looks identical. I'm a dog dude, but love me some affectionate cats.
What is it about cats and boats? Our barn cats have found my boat and I think, have taken up residence in it. One of them likes sitting in my seat on the front deck like she's queen of the hill.
