Past month has been a mighty struggle at my favorite spot on the west end of MS coast due to all the rain, zero salinity, and water the color of doo doo.

Went to the east end of the MS coast for better water. Was a grind, but I managed to catch 1 large red and 7 flounder. Lost 2 more. No specks unfortunately.

Great day there.

Do you guys experience that " Jubilee " like Mobile Bay & in LA???
It actually does happen on occasion on our coast, but even more rare than the east side if Mobile Bay.

Dunno what is going on, but folks have been gigging way more flounder than usual past 2 weeks (NOT a jubilee). Seems like population is up, dunno how since the beaches are lit up like Christmas. Lots of folks with 40 or 50 in a night ($100 commercial license, so the limit doesn't apply)

Man, I haven't gigged flounders in 50 years. Keep talking about it with my buddies in Big Bend area of FL but we've just done it. Good memories from youth.
