Soooo got this thing on cam yesterday. Definitely not a deer! Pics of deer in the same area to compare size. Thoughts???

That gut is full! Wonder how many fawns it's ate? Predators learn to use bait sites as ambush locations pretty quickly.

We had been seeing a fawn around but haven't in the last week or so. Time to go puddy cat hunting! This can is maybe 400 yards up the mountain from the cam with cat

Coyotes are far bigger predators of fawns than bobcats, but a bobcat certainly won't turn down as easy meal.

They are the worst of all. Dogs kill for fun, and will kill and kill and kill. At least a coyote only kills to eat, so it kills, eats, and is satiated for a while. I know of a dog that killed 5 fawns in one day.
I'd love to get a cat mounted!I've git a few hanging around my spot.
When you've put out bait, you're not the only one hunting over it.
