Loaded up this morn at 4a and made the drive down to the coast to fish. Stopped at my favorite gas station down there to get my bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.
After the 80mile drive, I always walk around the boat and feel the hubs to be sure they are cool. While doing so, I realized I left my trolling motor in the garage
Reminded me of the time I drove 1.5h to bowhunt several years ago and realized after I got there I had left my bow at home.
Oh, well, tried to make the best of it using my push pole to maneuver and my anchor pin to hold me in spots. Couldn't cover water fast...

Basically been wearing them out... gazillions of small trout in the bayous, my ability to catch reds has been based on the bouy at Pearl River. Above 2.5 feet, and the reds have been in the grass and I cant catch them. Below 1.5 feet, and falling tide, I have been doing very very well. Haven't been out front, too windy most days. Water in the bayous has been great.
Working all weekend, but thinking about getting an air B&B this Fri eve so I can fish Fri and Saturday
We went out of Venice on Sunday. We caught over 100 in 5 hours. It was unreal. We caught our limits of redfish, red snapper (had to
leave as they were not in season) triple tail, white trout, speckled trout, black drum, angel fish, whiting, sheepshead, had on a tarpon and a big Jack Chevelle.
It was the trip of a lifetime for me and my boy.

3 men and one lady limits on redfish and sea trout every day. Black trout no limit.
140 pounds of 12-13 count fresh shrimp off the boat @ $3 per pound. He gave me an extra 40 pounds for paying cash.(hint)
140 pounds of shrimp fills a Yeti 160 when deheaded and add dry ice.
Fish fillets filled the Orion 65. Add dry ice.
10 hours later everything frozen in Knoxville when I opened cooler.
Enjoy the shrimp Mark. I have enough for a shrimp boil at Mark's new house if he'll do the fire-

$3 for 12 count head on is a great price...if you got them deheaded for that price you took money from their kids college fund! but 140lbs is a LOT!

I've booked him for June 15, 2025. Three days. I have room for 1 in that boat. . However condo sleeps 8. I have room for 4-5 in condo. I'll get another guide if we could fill condo up. Guide's carry 4. You, SCN, 7.08, mark, Bruce????

The fishing down there is so far above every where else, If everything works out I will buy a place down there in the next few years
