Took my boat in to have it winterized and serviced the other day and saw @Spurhunter new fishing boat on the floor. Wake boat with camo wrap complete with an antlered duck! šŸ˜‚

Sorry buddy but couldn't help but think of you when I saw this. šŸ˜†

Spur, Im slowly coming around to your point of view on those boats after fishing the hill. Egads man! The number of those wake washing boobie barges just running around with nobody skiing is crazy. For some reason they all congregate around the ramps running in circles making huge waves at the dock/ramp.

They have no clue about the rules of boating and common courtesy. And No Wake means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to them. They hang around the ramps because that's where most of the people are, and they only want attention. I guess they weren't hugged enough as children. You'd think therapy would be much cheaper.

There's a couple at the marina with $1500/mo boat payment plus slip fee and they're $30-40k upside down on it. One of them completely unprovoked came by and told me his boat cost more than mine. I was so confused I didn't even know how to respond. Another guy told me I should buy one, I just laughed and said if I had your money maybe I wouldā€¦ and he told me it's not bad he has his financed for 144 months

144 months financing !!!! I wondered how these 20' somethings were affording a $100k wake boat + nice truck to pull it.
Crazy !

Center Hill really needs larger no wake zones around some of the ramps. If you try to tie to a dock your boat will get beat up from the 3 footers that roll in from wake boats.

I watched a guys trolling motor get tore to pieces once. The wave came in and lifted up his boatā€¦ and then it came down with the trolling motor on top of the dock. I was trying to rush over to hold it for him because I could see what was about to happen. I didn't make it.

I've always heard you're responsible for your own wake. I would love to see that actually enforced.

Times 1000!!! People buy them and become douche-nozzles. They really think the laws don't apply to them. I'd love to have the reigns of a TWRA boat and authority to write tickets for a few months.

I just have a little jon boat, but I carry full coverage insurance on it. I also idle through no wake zones. I was told that if my boat makes a wake and it damages property...I would be responsible for it. That said... someone slams my boat on a dock...I'm getting the ID number and filing a claim. I'll give the number to insurance company and let them recoup their loss. Hopefully I said that where it makes sense.
