Well I decided to go hunting yesterday before church. I hunted until about 9 o'clock without any luck. So I jumped in the truck and started driving out of the farm and started driving back toward the road and noticed a tom strutting with 2 hens about 400 yds down the field. So I parked the truck and snuch around him through the woods and sat down at the edge of the field about 100 yds from em. I managed to make one of the hens mad and she came over to see where I was and the tom was right behind her. Killed him at about 30 yds.

Then today I decided to go out after the first round of rain came through and see if I could get on one before the rain started again. I figured they should be out and about in the fields after the rain. So I went out about 12 oclock and started tryin to locate one. It took about 30 min and I spotted one out in the field all by himself. So I worked my way close to him through the woods and set up. It didn't take much to call him in and I shot him at about 25 yds. I just got him checked in and back to the house. Im about to take some pics of him and breast him out. But he was 22 lbs 9.5 inch beard and 1.25" spurs.

Thanks guys....it seemed like I wasn't gonna kill any the way the first 2 weeks of the season went. But all of a sudden these toms showed up on our farm on back to back days. Haven't heard or seen any toms on our farm this year, which is unusual because there is normally atleast 2 or 3. But now 2 of em won't be gobblin no more!!!
