How old do you believe him to be?
I can't tell a lot from just that one pic (based on body profile), but via body, he's not necessarily older than 4 1/2.
Basal circumference appears to exceed 5" (perhaps greatly) based on eyeball comparisons.

In my book, that's a world-class set of antlers.

I'm guessing him @ 4 1/2 I have a total of 1200 acres in which I am the only hunter... I keep a close eye on my deer heard and this deer showed up the last week of September and has consistently been showing up at one of two places... he is a straight 8 ... my dream deer!!
Unfortunately he hangs in the back of all my pics

Personally, I couldn't care less about the number of tines, as what's makes a rack "stand out" most is overall MASS. This particular 8-pointer is by far much more a "trophy" than 95% of 9-plus-point bucks that get killed.

Great buck. I see a fence in the background. Is this a fenced buck? I would guess 5/ 1/2 yr old too.
