I am so stoked about opening day I can hardly stand it. My son is 10 and just passed his hunter safety test today. I cannot wait to put him on his first deer.

My buddy is letting him borrow his cross bow. We have been shooting it and he is accurate at 30yds. I would prefer he shoot a bow, but do not have the money at the moment. Does not matter if he gets one. We are going to hunt from a blind.

I took my new DXT back to the bow shop today for the tune up..after a few hundred shots they give a free tune up...he also helped me a little with my grip. The grip on the Mathews bow just doesn't work well for me but now I understand why and what to do. I'm leaving Monday or Tuesday at the latest for bow camp at my cabin in TN. Others will be there Thursday and Friday. Good luck to all of you...take lots of pics

I am freakin pumped. Got my final stand hung today. Im ready to stack the freezer here at the apartment with some backstraps!!! Us college kids would rather have a freezer full of venison than buy some over priced ground beef at Kroger!!

Look out slick heads

Yesterday , I did a quick scout of a Oak flat I plan on hunting opening day in the afternoon . They are starting to drop acorns , and the sign is good .

Getting more pumped every day. I think I am more excited about my son killing a deer than getting one myself. This being his first season and the weather turnig cold does it get any better than this? Maybe Tennessee will even win......
