Im wanting a turkey gun. I have seen the camo NEF 10ga with screw in chokes and does anyone have one or know the performance? I know that it would be a beast to shoot. Just got an itch for one? Any input?

Me and my brother both had one. Both no longer use them. the recoil was a nonissue. The issue was that they hold no more shot than a 3.5 inch 12 ga. And since they have a larger bore, they do not pattern well.

If they bigger bore did not pattern better y in the world would mossberg back bore there 835 and 935 barrels out to a 10 ga barrel shooting 12 ga bullets. Personally Ill stick with a 12 ga it kicks hard enough lol dont want anything more

Check olgobbler.com 10 gauge section. They pattern awesome. If they werent so darn heavy i would have one.
being to heavy is the only reason i don't carry mine anymore. but when i did i used a kicks and it patterned just as tight as any 12 i have ever shot!

Same here, used a buddies a few years ago a couple times, and for my style of hunting it was like carrying an anvil!

Been using a 10g since 1996.

Closest thing to the 'hand of God' you can get on a turkey. Back in the day when I was all about killing them, I would routinely roll them at 60 yards.

Mine will give me around 180 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards with cheap #5 shot.

And I'll be totin mine in the morning playing backup in case the primary shooter fails to do his job :)
