11-11-24 Warm and slow morning so far

I've seen squirrels, a crane, ducks, woodpecker..but zero deer so far this morning. Hope you all are doing better than me.

Slow for me too. I have seen a couple small young bucks. But I can't buy a doe this year. I have yet to see one while hunting.

I've seen 2 does a spike and a rather large 6pt, that had a deformed rack. If both antlers would have matched I'd have shot him. His good side was out past his ears. The spike and 6pt was pestering a lone doe.

Slow here as well, but I did pass on a pretty 2.5 year old 8 just a little while ago. Only deer i have seen this morning.

Biggest thing I've seen is a spike. He'll get toasted come December if he pops out again.

Same at my place, hunted all day Saturday saw two deer. Saw zero yesterday.

Finally seen some does. Had four does come out feeding in a field edge around 3 pm. Moved through with no bucks in tow.

Morning movement has been before sunrise for the most part here in the east since late last week. Of course, there are some still moving aftersun up, due to the rut, but not many. I rely somewhat on moon phase charts. They've been pretty accurate for me over the years. Looks like mornings start to pick up around 11/14 and peak Saturday, 11/17. This coming weekend should be good.

I didn't hunt all that long. Came in around 10:00. Because of work. But, did see a 6 point, and watched him make a rub.

Property has been pretty quiet since October. Anyone out of or near Knox county know abouts when the rut usually starts to kick off?
