1st card pull and a PIG of a 8pt...to shoot or not

You say "PIG of an 8pt" then ask if you should shoot it??

If it is a big deer to you, then what do think? If I said pass, would that influence your decision?

So let me ask you, "to shoot or not?" lol Not trying to be mean but thats 100% up to you.

Great deer btw. I'd assume he is 3.5+ so I would shoot.

Should have worded it alil different...I think i know this deer and he should be in te 4-5 year range...just wanted to hear other folks opinon...ive never seen him while hunting but got several pics over the past 3years...

I figured he was mature. Nice mass. Watching a deer grow up over the years is exciting even if you don't ever get a chance to kill it!

Yes it is!!! But it makes you wonder what happend to em... im gona dedicate more time to the area he is living in this year..not too much tho..ive hunted that ridge for several years and killed some good bucks with a bow..it just a right place right time kinda thing..cant wait for season thats fer sure

What happens to them? Easy answer. Dumb deer are far better at avoiding humans than we large-brained humans are at seeing them. Sad, but true...

you say he is a pig, but ask whether to shoot or not... that's your call, and if I think a deer is a pig I'm definitely going to shoot him. Good looking 8, hope you kill him dead this season.

Thats up to you. Great buck. But I always wait til that velvet comes off and I can somewhat get an accurate "age judging body" before I make a decision.
