No joke this bird had 17 hens with him and he was the only one I heard all morning. Watched him strut for 2 hours and he finally got into range.

Franchi Affinity with a Carlsons 575 shooting 3" Federal HeavyWeight 7's. That thing hit HARD!

matter of fact it completely lifted the bird off the ground in the air and he landed directly on his back...kicked once or twice and that was it.

Did you source some info on that choke/shell combo? Just wondering why the Carlsons over a Sumtoy?
 
mostly do to PRICE griz and from my research it seems the carlsons and the HW shells are a match made for each other!

for $28 shipped to me it was worth a try and boy was it worth it! The sumtoy would prob put up a bit higher numbers but i was going to shoot no optics on this gun so i didn't want anything overly tight.

also those chokes are in the $60 range and i just didn't have that to spend on a choke for a gun that I planned on using as a MAX 40yds.
