Started out a very cold 28 degree morning. Didnt keep this one from gobbling pretty good on the roost though. He was roosted on a high ridge with several hens and jakes. They flew down and he messed around with the hens for about an hour and a half. The hens finally left him and I was able to call him and 2 jakes in. They came in on a string, he was strutting and spittin/drummin alot of the way. Shot him at 45 yards at about 0830. Hevi 13 #7's. This is my first turkey off my land here at home. He was 21 pounds, 11 inch beard, 1 inch spurs.
