Got to my property before sun up and being it is Sunday the road noise is no where near as bad. Sunday is the only exception to the road noise rule. I had seen 2-3 toms strutting through the trees on my neighbors field with some hens when i left yesterday. I gambled that they stayed in the area as they usually roost on the hill in the hardwoods next to his field. Well I was right. As the sun came up I heard a gobble. I stayed back by the property line and did some soft yelps and what sounded like 3 birds gobbled. I went silent and started hearing other hens and thought this may be difficult, but if there are 3 someone may want to play. Every time the hens yelped they gobbled. I decided it was too thick to sit just off the property line, but knew where they'd come through, so I moved away from them and set up. I called and they gobbled. I would wait 10 minutes and call again. I called and they gobbled again, and sounded closer, but I was not sure. Another 10 minutes and another sequence and they gobbled and this time I knew they were coming. Well I waited and could not see anything due to how thick my land is and I was set up in a cedar thicket. The old logging road is where I knew they'd come and I was set up just off it. Well I called again and when they gobbled I knew they were real close. Finally I saw them coming, 2 toms strutting down the logging road. They kept turning circles and taking for ever and my heart was pounding waiting on these 2 to get up to where I had a clean shot. One bird came out of strut about 5 feet from my lane and started walking with his neck up and walked right into the lane. Bang flop. The other bird ran to my left and stopped in an opening at 20 yds. I got up and he ran away. I got to the bird and there were more to my right that took off into the woods. I got the bird and headed out and turkeys were flying and running everywhere. I got so caught up with that that I didn't snap a pic in the field. I took this one at home in my house clothes. :D

This bird was not as big as yesterdays.
