heard a lot of gobbling this morning but it was all of our property we hunt.I just stayed put and kept calling from where I killed my bird last saturday.about 840 one gobbled right behind me.i turned and got ready.he walked over the hill in full strut for a 15 yard shot.The bird never even flopped.
Thats 3 birds out of the same spot in 4 days this year.I got 2 and my nephew got one.Bird today was 20lbs 10" beard and 1 1/8" spurs.
I probably could have limited out in 4 days this year but it's been more fun hunting with my dad and nephew trying to help them get birds.My dad got his first long beard ever last weekend.i'm glad to see the turkey back like they were a few years ago.It had been rough hunting at our lease the last few years.
