ok this was one of the craziest things i have ever had happen in the turkey woods. i was watching a turkey strut this morning around 6:10 to see what he was gonna do and i yelped 3 times. while i'm watching him a turkey comes running out of the woods at 5 YARDS! and here i am standing there with my gun in my lap, didn't even have the sight on and this turkey is strutting in front of me at 5 yards. i click my safety off and in one clean quick motion shoulder my gun and try to center his head best i can. i shot him right above the beard. blew part of it off lol. i'll take luck any day of the week.
