If the VOLS had made just 2 plays out of several situations on either offense or defense, we would be 4-0.

Very true, let Oklahoma score a touchdown on a 4th down, let Florida get 1st downs on 4 or 5 4th down plays.Just gave both games away!I'm still not over it!

Yeah I know we asked are defense to do way to much it both games and they (the defense) played well against Oklahoma & florida.

But florida was like 5 for 5 on 4th down! Heck they scored a TD on 4th and like 20 to win the game. We only rushed 3 that play after getting pressure on the QB like the last 5 plays before that. They Gave him all day to throw, and he found a guy down field for the score. if they bring pressure I Don't think they pick up the first.

I know everyone is on the offense and CBJ, but if you look back and see how many missed sacks, and 4th downs Oklahoma picked up including one that tied the game in OT. It almost just as bad as the offense falling apart.

Vol fans tro11 us also. If you don't believe me, wait until UF loses it's first game... :tu:

Looks better this way.

Yeah 1 SEC loss with teams like Georgia & Bama still left on the schedule

The vols need to have wins against:
Arkansas
Kentucky
Missouri
Vandy
North Texas
South Carolina

To hit 8 wins, Very Possible. But unlikely the way the vols finish games, And how the they always seem to drop close games.

May be far fetched, but we play Georgia close nearly every time in Neyland, we actually were close last two years. Damn we have lost a lot of close games!!!

I see 3 more losses for TN maybe 4 if KY beats them. UGA Bama and Arkansas

I still see 3 losses for UF also... Ole Miss, LSU, UGA

This is the frustrating thing. Two plays and we would be 4-0.

However, that would not change the fact that the coaching staff really needs to evolve in their late-game strategies. I think they did learn some things from the OK game. Dobb's running was obviously built into the play calling, much more than the OK game. The trick play worked to perfection. The fourth down jump pass was a thing of beauty. We just took the gas off late and went into that shell again. And I realize that they are guarding against an INT especially with Dobb's tendency to have some balls sail on him. However, we should have tried a screen, jet sweep, something, instead of handing to Hurd and having him run into the line.

We are close! There isn't a game remaining on the schedule that isn't winnable. But, there also isn't a game remaining (other than a couple) that can't be lost.

It's coming :D !

If that is the teams to beat to get to 8 wins, I would say they easily get 8.

Are you being facetious Mudbone? I'm not sure they can beat Arkansas, Kentucky, Vandy, Missouri, or South Carolina. This clown can't coach.
